When will it begin?

The WEFTEC Exhibition will be opening its door to its attendees on Monday, October 10th at 8:30 am and will be going on until 5:30 pm later that same day. The Exhibition will also be open the following day on Tuesday, October 11th from 8:30 am to 5:30 pm and Wednesday, October 12th from 8:30 am to 3:30 pm.

Who is attending?

Water professionals from around the world will be meeting to experience first-hand the best water quality education, leading experts, the latest technology and trends, and proven solutions. More than 700 exhibiting companies will display their products and services on the exhibition floor this year. Every industry from oil and gas to wastewater treatment plants will be in attendance. Amongst this year’s sponsors who will be in attendance are Blue-White, Xylem, Arcadis, and many more. WaterWorld stated that President Jamie Eichenberger from Water Environment Federation (WEF) will be welcoming WEFTEC’s audience to the Opening General Session where he will be discussing the direction of the water sector and WEF’s role in its advancement. Following Eichenberger’s discussion, Shama Hyder, an award-winning brand strategist, global speaker, and bestselling author will deliver the 202 Keynote. She will also share her insights on how modern communications, marketing, and branding are more important than ever for the water sector.

What is there to learn?

The event will include 120 technical sessions, dozens of educational sessions in pavilions, 16 workshops, and seven technology spotlights from exhibiting companies. There will be several ways to learn at WEFTEC, from its workshops to interactive sessions to lecture sessions. Educational topics will cover a wide range of interests, including PFAS, workforce issues, treatment design, and more.

What else is there to do?

Since WEFTEC was hosted in New Orleans in 2018, there have been a lot of improvements to the local area, as well as upgrades to the transportation center at the convention center. Parks such as the New Orleans Ernest N. Morial Convention Center Pedestrian Park showcases the development of artwork and landscapes to express the essence of true New Orleans history. You also don’t want to miss out on all the delicious Cajun and Creole food such as New Orleans’ signature gumbo, crawfish, and of course, po-boys.
